Teen Sewing Class: Elastic Waist Pants or Skirt
Join us for a fun and creative day of sewing! In this beginner-friendly teen class, students will create their choice of either a comfortable pair of loose-fitting elastic waist pants or an easy-to-wear elastic waist skirt.
Participants will learn essential garment construction techniques including measuring, cutting fabric, sewing seams, creating casings, and inserting elastic. By the end of the class, each student will leave with a finished garment they can proudly wear.
Class Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate. Basic sewing machine skills are helpful, including threading a machine, sewing straight seams, and operating a sewing machine independently.
What to bring: 2.5 metres of your choice of fabric, lunchbox and water bottle.
This is a great project for teens who want to build confidence in garment sewing while creating a stylish, practical piece for their wardrobe.
