Sewing Classes
Sewing is a skill that was once quietly woven into everyday life, mending, making, adapting, and caring for what we wear. Over time, much of this knowledge has been lost, replaced by fast and disposable ways of living. These classes are a gentle step back toward something slower, more intentional, and deeply satisfying.
At their heart, these sewing classes are about more than learning to make a garment. They are about reconnecting with a practical, creative skill that can be carried into daily life- the ability to repair, to create thoughtfully, and to move away from a culture of excess.
Held in a calm, light-filled studio at 9 Pitt Street, Gisborne, each class is designed to feel supportive and unhurried. Whether you are completely new or returning to sewing, you will be guided step-by-step, building confidence and capability as you go.
The aim is simple: to share skills that empower. Skills that can be taken home, used often, and passed on, restoring a sense of connection to what we wear, and how it is made.
